Terms

How Havaro intends to work, in plain language, ahead of the version counsel will produce.

Not yet reviewed by counsel

These terms describe how Havaro operates and are published for transparency. They have not yet been through legal review, and will be replaced by the reviewed version when it is ready. More about Havaro.

What Havaro is

Trovaway Inc. is an Ontario company building a booking platform that combines activities, experiences, events and restaurant tables into a single coordinated trip. We are not the activity or the restaurant — those are independent businesses with their own terms, which travel with your booking.

What this site does today

It lets you plan and price a trip and book each part of it with the business that runs it. Havaro acts as a booking agent: you pay each operator directly, and the only charge Havaro ever makes is a late-cancellation fee, disclosed before you book.

A price marked indicative is our estimate for the property and season; a price without that word has been set by the operator. Either way, you are told before you book if a rate has changed.

How money will work at launch

You pay each operator directly at the time of service. Havaro is not the merchant of record for that payment. We save a card through Stripe to guarantee the reservation, and charge it only for a qualifying late cancellation or no-show as set out in the cancellation policy.

Havaro earns a flat 15% commission from the operator on bookings it enables, invoiced to them monthly. You are never charged a booking fee, and the commission does not change the price you pay.

Our role, and its limits

Where we combine several bookings and sell them for one price, we will confirm before launch whether we are facilitating separate supplier contracts or creating our own package, and say so clearly on every booking. That distinction affects who is responsible when something goes wrong, and it is not something to leave vague.

Operators set their own pricing, availability, safety standards and cancellation terms. We check them before listing and we will act on your behalf if something fails, but we do not operate the boat, the lift or the kitchen.

Before you commit, we will tell you

At launch, and before any payment or commitment, you will be shown: the travel service and who supplies it, your dates, what is and is not included, every mandatory charge, deposit and balance rules, cancellation and refund terms, any material restrictions, what documentation you need, and the availability of trip-cancellation and out-of-province health insurance. You will be able to review and correct the whole order before confirming.

Changes to these terms

These will be replaced in full by a legally reviewed version before we take a booking. If you have held a trip, we will email you when that happens rather than changing them quietly.
